PITT DANCE MARATHON (PDM)

What is PDM?

Pitt Dance Marathon is the largest student-run philanthropy at the University of Pittsburgh that works yearlong in an effort to enhance the movement that raises funds and awareness for UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. PDM is a yearlong fundraising effort supported by thousands of Pitt students, culminating in a 12-hour dance marathon in the spring. Since its inception in 2005, PDM has raised over $1,000,000 for local Pittsburgh charities that benefit the Pittsburgh community.

This year Pitt Dance Marathon has once again partnered with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). Every dollar raised will be given to the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. CMNH is a leading national charity determined to support the needs of children’s hospitals across the nation. As a member of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh provides the highest quality of care to its patients. More information about PDM can be found on their website

Pitt Dance Marathon will take place on March 28th from 12pm to 12am in the Cost Center. Registration is now open.

How do I Register for PDM?

Every FSL member who participates in PDM can register to be on their chapter’s PDM team. Links to each chapter’s PDM pages can be found on the IFC CHAPTERS Page. Registering is very simple and takes less than 5 minutes to complete. If you are unable to attend PDM, you can still donate directly to your chapter or individuals who are able to participate. Donations can be made through the same link as registration.
