EMS AND ENGAGE

What is Engage?

Engage is the student organization management system used by all student organizations at the University of Pittsburgh. In order for SORC to effectively communicate with organizations, it is required that organizations maintain a full, updated membership roster with current officer information on Engage. Student organizations that fail to maintain current officer and advisor information on their roster will be frozen until they are in compliance with SORC policies. Only the President and Primary Contact of an organization have access to update the organization’s roster.

How is Engage Used by IFC?

Engage is used by each chapter for a number of reasons including maintaining accurate rosters of brothers and officers, registering events, submitting documents for the Cathedral Standards of Excellence (CSOE), and managing chapter finances. Engage is also a great resource for building relationships with other organizations and promoting Tri-Council Unity. Engage makes co-hosting events incredibly easy for IFC chapters. More information about Engage can be found on the SORC website and in the links below.

What is EMS?

The Event Management System (EMS) is a website used by IFC chapters and all other student organizations to reserve spaces on campus. Each chapter can have two officers with EMS accounts. Many procedures and rules are in place for making reservations on campus, so obtaining an EMS account can only be done after completing a brief online training. Further information and directions can be found here. All on campus events must be registered on EMS and Engage.
