WHAT IS GREEK WEEK

What is the Purpose of Greek Week?

The purpose of Greek Week is to highlight the talents and dedication of the FSL community. Greek Week events are designed to build strong working relationships within the FSL community, to create a culture that celebrates the contributions of all FSL brothers and sisters, and to give back to the Pittsburgh community in a significant and meaningful way.

Is Greek Week Competitive?

YES, VERY. Greek Week creates a competitive environment which brings chapters from IFC, NPHC, and Panhel together to help great causes. However, chapters do not compete on their own. Chapters compete as pairings which consist of 3-5 chapters that are randomly selected each Fall. To promote Tri-Council Unity, each pairing contains chapters from at least two of the Councils.

How is Greek Week Scored?

Greek Week is scored through Greek Week Points. Greek Week points are awarded to pairings and not individual chapters. Greek Week Points can be earned through high attendance at Greek Week events, co-hosting events with paired chapters, volunteering, and many other ways. A full description of opportunities and their point values can be found in the Greek Week Handbook, which can be found on the Documents Page
